Don't you just love the quilt store in Tecumseh, Deb? It isn't any more convenient to me than to you, but in my opinion, it is well worth the drive! Have you ever been to the quilt store at Sauder Village in Archbold, OH. That one is superb, too. You know, Nola lives pretty close to the Indiana/Ohio state line. The three of us should drive over one day with hubby's. We can shop- they can look at tools, tractors, and turbines, guy stuff! They have a fabulous restaurant, too!

The store is Tecumseh is my favorite! Yes, I have been over to Sauder Village Quilt Store, but only once. It has been a while. That would be a fun trip, I would enjoy the quilts, the food, and you're right about my DH he would love all that guy stuff. Lets try and do this!

Sounds like a plan, but not until my tooth is healed. 'Kay? Red Ju Ju lives in SW MI, she would be close enough to join us, too.

Morning all! I talked to DS1 last night- well sort of! He was standing on top of a mountain at the time and the recption wasn't too good! My sister's son and his wife had flown out to Alaska for a visit and the four of them hiked up the mountain on the island.

All of SE MI is under flood watches. We had over four inches of rain yesterday. The weatherforecaster said last night that it was tropical air pushed up by Ike. It is still overcast today, but the sun is trying to peek through.

Well, I suppose it is time to get busy. Have a great day all.

Good Morning ... Coffee

Raining here today, too ...

Can't tell you if this is a spin off of Ike or our own little storm ... looks like it could be generated from Ike ... no wind, though ... good day to stay in and sew ... Smile

DH and I went to an orchard yesterday after my Saturday Quilt Sampler session ... we have apple cider, early MacIntoshes, apple pie and best of all this morning ... fresh hot blueberry muffins from the tiny sweet native blueberries we picked ...

Good Morning! Big Grin We have sunshine today!!! Finally. We lucked out again and this storm turned before we got hit bad.

Sounds like you will all have fun meeting in Tecumseh! We have a Tecumseh too but I bet that's not the one you are talking about. Wink Otherwise I would invite myself along too.

I got my big brown quilt into rows yesterday. I'm hoping to get those stitched together and add the border today. I was going to add 2 borders but after looking at it laid out, it didn't add anything so no point in extra work. Especially since I have fallen out of love with this one. I have decided to quit calling it 'Ugly'. After all, I wouldn't say that about my children. LOL This one has a face that only a mother could love. Roll Eyes

Good morning It is hot here in Az Not as bad as a month ago but still Hot. I am pretty much packed up the boys will be here on the 26th. Then all we have to do is load it all up. We are all excited about the move. I went and got my old machine from my sister the other day. I have no idea how she got it but I have it back. My DH got it for me in the 70s It was in bad shape. I took it all apart and oiled and cleaned it and replaced a few parts. It cost me $60 to fix it. It runs like a dream now. I can't beleave I did it all by myself. It is a Brother Charger 661 and it looks new. Now I have a machine for the girls to sew on for my house. Hope all is well and safe from the storms.

Sounds like you are ready to start teaching, good news on finding that machine!

I still have to add borders but I did get all my rows together on the brown quilt.

I spent the weekend trying to entertain my sis on the cell phone. Boy that wasn't easy. They still have no power but everyone is safe in her area.

Did I tell you all that Joey is on his way home from Iraq? He was in Egypt last we heard so it will still be a while before we see him. I am so relieved.

Well good day to all, hope it's a good one for everyone!

Just got back from my latest appointment about The Tooth! I have just one thing to say: there is a reason that 'care' is second in the term 'managed care' Now I get to go fight with the insurance company.

Jenell-
I bet you are walking around on cloud nine with that good news! Give that handsome young man an extra hug from me when he gets home.
