thank you for adding the thread back.

Jacqui
Thank you for posting it back here for us. I love reading along even though I don't get to post often.

Meg
Hugs to you on the vandalism and the basement problems.

The sun is out the wind is blowing and rain is around the corner~rain now is good for this summers drout but sure slows the gradening process.

Blessings to you all today.

Happy Quilting!

I have always been interested in people who make me laugh!!! You can never have a dull moment with these people. And if you happen to have "one of those moments" then it's okay, they just laugh with you.

Meg, you were right to call the cousins. Someone other than a teen needed to be dealing with this situation. You did the right thing. It's difficult when the older parent won't recognize that they need help.

I'm going to wait until Monday afternoon to call Medicare as I know I will be on the phone for at least an hour. Also have to call our AARP prescription insurance as they have my address wrong. I filled out the paperwork for myself and DH at the same time, but some how my street number is wrong and I double checked and I put it in right. Oh well, just another minor problem to deal with.

I did get all of the house vaccumed yesterday, all 3,000 sq ft of it. Have I said "I want a smaller house" before? I really do. I also got the sewing room and two bathrooms mopped. They have tile floors. Now to get off here and mop all of the laminate flooring and the kitchen floor. Need to tidy up our bathroom counter and wipe it down. Then the biggie is to tidy up the kitchen after DH bakes pies tonight to take with us for Easter dinner at his nephews on Sunday. We are leaving early tomorrow morning so it has to be done tonight. Ordinarily I wouldn't worry too much if there was still some clutter in the kitchen and bath but there are supposed to be people coming to look at the house sometime over the weekend. Oh the joys of having a house for sale. Sure makes me a better housekeeper. Big Grin

Everyone have a wonderful weekend.

Hello friends, I ordered some lacing cards, remember those, for Skyler to play with and they came in today. So we have been sewing them over and over today. Big Grin Shirrie has taken to them too and she can get the thread in the hole but not pull it thru yet. I just love watching them concentrate on them! So cute.

Barb with all that work I think I will never sell my house!

Hugs everyone!

I finally got all of my main housecleaning done and I'm so tired. But, DH is in the kitchen baking and I'll need to tidy it up before I go to bed.

Everyone have a wonderful weekend and I'll be back sometime on Monday. Confetti

Well, spring arrived here right on schedule on the 20th and within 24 hours we had another snow storm! It is still snowing. I think we may end up with 3 feet plus extra snow over normal this season. I am trying to be postive, supposedly the Great Lakes have recovered some. Lake levels have been dropping over the past few years. I am hoping enough snow fell in the northern part of the state to saturate the ground. It has been so dry up there that the fire season starts in January. I hate when my brother has to go fight forest fires, makes me very nervous.

I plan to do some baking today. And to continue the search for my scissors. I have not found my favorite pair of Fiskers, but I did find my Gingher dressmaker shears and another pair of Fiskers so at least I can sew while I continue looking. That quiltergeist is serious about me not finding them! LOL

Good morning Smile

Just getting ready to start my day. I will have the first top done this morning (already have 5 rows sewn). Getting it laid out was the most difficult; it took longer than piecing the darn blocks! I'm hoping to get #2 done today & tomorrow.

A friend called & invited us over for Easter dinner...she has a big turkey & the kids she planned for have decided to go elsewhere, SO we're going to help her eat her turkey Smile I hadn't taken my ham out of the freezer yet, so this works out just fine!

I'm hungry for a pecan pie, so maybe I'll get one made today, between sewing sessions - yum!

Well "spring has sprung" and we have freeze warnings all day. I guess that makes it a good day to sit and hand quilt.
We are going to hubbies brothers for dinner tomorrow. It's so nice all I have to do is make banana pudding, its the Paula Dean recipe "Not Yo Momma's Banana Pudding".
Hope everyone has a great day, marie

Happy Easter!

Woke up early this morning, even tho I didn't need to. I am enjoying the quiet Smile

We'll go to church this morning & early dinner at my friend's house (I hadn't taken the ham out of the freezer, yet, so it was extra easy to accept her invite!). When we get home tonight, I'll finish putting that first top together & get the blocks pieced for #2.

I got alot done around the house yesterday. I've got a serious case of the "Spring cleaning" bug. DS2 & I pruned another lilac tree - next, I tackle the rosemary that's overgrown!

Mr. Weather has promised a gorgeous day today - great for all those kiddos hunting for Easter eggs!
