Mentioned to DH this morning that Roy Schnieder had passed away. He had no idea who I was talking about. The police chief? From Jaws? I was absolutely astonished to learn that he has never seen any of the Jaws movies!

This got me to thinking about movies that are considered classics from our generation that I have never seen and refuse to. I have never seen any of The Godfather Trilogy. I do not watch any of the Rocky movies. And I will lay down in my grave before I will willingly sit through a single Smokey and the Bandit movie!

What are some of yours?

I rather not see any Spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood(what my Dad called them) and the same for the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.( I have heard that there are 3 of those)Yuck. I think I got along fine w/o seeing those. And no to any type of horror flick. ( I saw a little of the Grudge on TV once and I had goose pimples all over my body)And if there is any movie with Jack Nicholson(forget it) He reminds me too much of the devil.

haha I actually agree with this, though I have seen several of his movies, but ever since he played Joker in Batman, thats all I visualize everytime I see him.

I'm always surprised at people who have never read or seen "To Kill a Mockingbird" or "Gone With the Wind." Or Jack Nicholson in "One Flew Over the Cukoos Nest", nurse Ratchet or "The Shining". Then I've never seen a Jackie Chan movie.

Along Came a Spider, Kiss The Girls and Seven. I really like the Alex Cross character and Morgan Freeman.

I like comedy - "good" comedy, Not that vulgar stuff that's supposed to be funny. And I love historical romance movies, most of the Civil War shows like "The Blue & The Gray", "North & South" etc. One of my favorites is "Friendly Persuasion" - about a Quaker family during the Civil War. And I like "Sargent York" - based on a real life hero of WWI. Some westerns are OK, but NOT Clint Eastwood - I HATE those movies! That creepy background music and all the unnecessary violence - BLAH! Don't care for any Sci-Fi stuff, no James Bond, no Jackie Chan, no horror shows. Most musicals are good - like "Oklahoma", "Mary Poppins", etc.

hmmmmm movies i have NO INTENTIONS of watching? you know it should be a simple question, but it's really a hard one for me! i like movies! someone mentioned matrix, etc., so i would have to agree - those hold no interest. but i have the boxed set of rocky movies AND smokey and the bandit AND the godfather trilogy!!! oh and also the star wars movies!! man i was IN LOVE with mark hamill!! and don't forget saturday night fever and john travolta~~ i also have GWTW, steel magnolias and fried green tomatoes! and all kinds of disney of course! and some shirley temples and john wayne. i subscribe to blockbuster online so i keep a list of movies i want to see - about 40 titles usually!! i am as eclectic in my movie tastes as i am with my music!! i used to watch those terrible horror movies - halloween, fredddie krueger, etc. - but that was in the younger days - don't care for them too much anymore! i will watch most anything with mel gibson, robert redford, sean connery, denzel washington, tom cruise or chuck norris in it!! i told billy once that i bet john wayne was a good kisser - i have yet to listen to the end of THAT conversation Eek
Cheer
and yes, i have seen to kill a mockingbird . . . oh and no one has mentioned amityville horror!!! either like or hate!

love & hugs,
