Hi, everyone,
I have been working on this free BOM a few months now as it started in October. I shall have to post some pictures soon. When I went to get this month's block pattern, I realized that I do not think I have seen a link for this one posted on this forum. It is a very "scrappy" quilt ... just my style ... This free BOM is from Claudia's Quilt Shop: http://www.claudiasquiltshoppe.com/freebom.htm The blocks already made have been so basic, it would not take but a day to play catch-up. Enjoy, <3 Pat |

I LOVE this pattern - a great way to use up those scraps. Or FQs. LOL!
I really like the scrappy quilts. They are very "homey" looking to me. Linda O Texas |

I will have to post pictures of the blocks I have made so far. These are very easy blocks. I got behind on the month with the four house blocks, as I decided to make one for each season. It took longer to find the right fabrics. But I will catch up soon. Oh ... I see the April shoo-fly block is up! I need to finish March and get going on this one again. That is why I like this pattern, Linda, ... just call me "Scrappy PATches" <3 |

Yep, Pat, your name sure does FIT!
I haven't even started this one yet, though today I pulled out my light/dark 2-1/2" squares for the first month's blocks. LOL! Linda O Texas |

I don't know about you, but I cut scraps into squares and strips and save them in baggies or plastic storage boxes. With this quilt I am finally using up some of the 2-1/2, 3-1/2, and 4-1/2" pieces I've been saving in bags. WOO HOO!
I'm pulling out pieces needed for the blocks and grouping them together in baggies with the pattern so when I get a chance I can start sewing them together. I need to use my stash to cut some of the larger pieces needed for the blocks - AND more squares. I'm thinking some of the later blocks will need a FEW of the same fabrics as the earlier blocks to tie the quilt together - kinda - at least as much as a scrappy quilt can be. LOL! Linda O Texas |

Hello, BOM Fans,
The September Block is up for this one and it is the borders. Has anyone else been doing this quilt? I started it last fall and kept up every month ... um ... until I joind BC ... and all of a sudden there were all these ideas, and patterns and swaps and quilters to chat with ... and I got a little bit sidetracked ... I see there is a NEW BLock of the Month starting on this site in November. Once the new pattern starts the previous one is available for sale only, I believe. So if you want to do this one for free ... start printing befofe it goes poof! |
