Since I live in the country, the closest fabric store is a $40 round trip for me, and there is only one. I have to need a LOT of things to make the trip and they have to have a pretty good sale! I do a lot more mail order shopping now and let UPS or FedEx bring it to my door. It really is cheaper for me that way.

I agree with Pam, it's a whole lot cheaper to let someone else deliver it to my door. We do have a small shop in town, 8 miles, in case I need machine needles in an emergency. She is sweet but her fabric selection is very small. The closest real quilt shop is about 55 miles, one way. Too far to just pop in and see what's new. I'm hoping that when we get moved, when ever that is, that I'll be closer to a quilt shop and decent grocery store.

Now to start looking for fabrics for this BOM. I wonder what it would look like made in Halloween colors? I've got a lot of Halloween FQ's that I've been collecting for a quilt. Maybe those blue nautical FQ's? Lots to think about.
