Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that BC's new block of the month has begun a few hours early. Smile

The first block is already posted, so get those sewing machines (or needles and thread) revved up! Wink

Here is the link:

Kim, I just popped over to the BOM and got January's Block. This is going to be a great BOM for 2008.

Kim,

This is going to be a wonderful BOM, I just have 2 blocks and the border of the last one. It was my first every BOM and was a lot of fun to do. I must say your directions are so wonderful easy to follow. Being a beginner for me that was great. It was a real pleasure doing 2007's can't wait to get started on 2008's.Smile

Kim -

I LOVE this pattern. Will be anxiously looking forward to these patterns.

I would like to make a quilt in Southwest colors for my sister. Do you know of a fabric collection in Southwest Colors? Thanks!

I really love the new BOM pattern for 2008. Just finished the 2007 BOM today and it is beautiful! I do have a concern about the size of the 2008 pattern. Is there a way to make it wider? It is designed to be longer than a Queen and thinner than a double. I am a new quilter. Maybe this is an easy fix that I just don't know.

Lisa, you could widen the side borders, or repeat four of the blocks to make another column. Of course you'd need to purchase extra fabric. If you don't want to repeat four of the blocks but instead want four different blocks, you could make four more 12" (finished size blocks and add steps 10-12 of the first block to border them and bring them up to 18" finished size. Add them as a 5th column. This will actually add 20" to the width of the quilt.

I hope this helps...if you have more questions, let me know. Smile

Hello.

I've never done a BOM before. This will be my first. I'm very excited about this new project, and I can't wait to get out this weekend to get my fabric and get started on the January block!
