I have been temporarily stuck in re-selecting fabrics for this. I found a focus fabric I really liked for the outer border and thought I had the other fabrcs, but when I went to cut them I decided that I really did not like one of the fabrics for this quilt. Oddly, this came from the same line as the focus fabric. So I went in search of a replacement, found a piece in my stash that seems perfect, but did not have enough of this fabric for the whole quilt. Since it was an older fabric line, I could no longer get it at a LQS, so I had to find an online source, order up some more and wait for it to arrive. Now, I think I am ready to go again ... Pat

Thanks Pat these are Fig Tree Fabric I had left over, but they don't make a really bright quilt. On the other hand, these fabrics are the ones I used for a new quilt for our bed. I've thought about starting a second one, like you I want to fid the right fabric. marie
No wonder I like your fabrics. I love Fig Tree fabrics. It must be an older line. Maybe "Buttercream and Figs"? I can usually pick the "figs" out of the quilts, but I missed this one.
Did you ever hear how Joanna Figeroa named her design company? Her husband's nick-name is "Fig" and the call their kids "Figlets" from the "Fig Tree." Too cute.
Sometimes I like brights, sometimes softer subtle colors, sometimes darks, sometimes pastels. I decided on floral pastel for this quilt, as that is what I am in the mood for now and since I will probably will be finishing it next January and February when I will again be in the mood for winter to end.
I thought about just making two quilts, but the red/green/beige prints I had in my stash were not all going to work into this quilt. I think I have finally found a pattern I might want to do for a Christmas quilt that will put them to good use.
I need to get going on these BOM blocks before April arrives and I am another month behind,

Yes it's Butter Cream and Figs, I just love Fig Tree designs. If you have the Debbie Mumm book "Country Settings" I am working on the breakfast in bed ensemble for our bed. The large quilt is being hand quilted now and the small basket quilt is pieced and waiting. So this quilt will be a throw or????
I'm working on mine this weekend. I got so frustrated last night after I had to rip out a third (or maybe fifth) seam that I put it down. I'm going back tonight to finish. I hope I'll have pictures to post.
I really love how everybody's are turning out. It's neat to see how the different fabric choices look! Keep the pictures coming!
