Ladies, I am guessing as far as Kim's health goes. I knew she had a slight problem but thought it was close to being corrected. But the fact that the BOM has not updated and we have not received Newsletters tells me it's either a health concern for her or somone in her family.

I also take care of the Kitty Block Swap Yahoo group for her and we haven't heard from her either but don't usually there!

Just keep her in your prayers and don't give up, she'll be back!

Kathy, to me every time I make a new block, quilt or wallhanging it is a thrill. It just never gets old. I'm as nervous now cutting into new fabric as I was when I began quilting years ago. You would think that a someone that sewed for the public would be brave enough to cut into fabric! lol

The thrill of new fabric and a new challenge just never goes away! I hope it never does!

Betty ... I always feel this way, too. I thought it was because I am still so new to quilting. Everytime I cut into that perfect fabric I get butterflies ... guess I am just going to have to get used to it. Wink

Good to know that thrill of a new challenge never goes away, too. Smile

Miki ... your blocks are just "gawjus!" Big Grin I love the pink and green color combination and the fussy cuts just showcase the roses perfectly! Yippee!

I got to get my pictures posted ... and get the other blcoks done ... I am seriously slacking here ... Snail

Whoever Miki is.

I would like to know where to find your website to see the quilts you have posted. I am new to this site and I haven't figured it all out yet.

Thanks for the information..

Hi, Pat,

I was referring to the blocks posted in the Somewhere In Time BOM Album here on the forum:

http://blockcentral.net/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/6971052502/m/7551045063

Miki (emma) has recently posted her beautiful blocks. There are others posted, too. It is so interesting to see how the different quilts are coming along. I need to get mine posted in the album.

Everyone is welcome to post their blocks. Smile So please feel free to put yours in the album. If you need help figuring how to post photos on the Forum, Kim has given us a great step by step tutorial here:

http://blockcentral.net/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2331033863/m/6681082963

If you have questions about how to post photos in the album, I am sure one of our wonderful Moderators, like Betty, would be very happy to help.

I have only been on BC since January, but I have found many friends here and learned so much. Smile

It is nice to have you join us,

Pat

Thanks so much for the help and information. I have not yet gotten any blocks finished, as I only downloaded them last week, but I have the fabric, and it is on my list to start this week. I almost was going to wait until all the block directions were downloaded, but I can tell that I need to get them started now, so that I can get them all done this year. I am also teaching a quilt block of the month (but not Somewherein Time) to a group of ladies, and so I do stay busy, and I try not to get them all mixed together and confused.
Thanks again for sending me the links to be able to see all the wonderful blocks that people have already done. This has been a fun place for me to check to see what is going on....

Here is a link to a chart. I enlarged it and keep it on a small bulletin board in my sewing room. It is priceless to me!

Thanks Betty for the information. It will be helpful on my wall also. The information that I have seen somewhere previously was a way to actually do the measurements of the blocks, and down side according to each step in the construction of the block. I will give this chart a try and see what I can come up with though...(as long as I can keep my calculator handy).

thanks again...
