I really like this block, Kim. Would like to make a stash quilt from this one block from all different reds for Christmas. Would make an interesting Christmas swap with 11 other people..... hmmmmm, might have to think about that for next year.
I think this will be my 1st and last follow along BOM on the internet. It is very aggravating not receiving the instructions when they say they will be posted.
Perhaps I should pass this along to my father, who is the reason that things have not been posted on time for the last few months. See, he had triple bypass surgery, atrial fibrillation, and pneumonia, and was hospitalized three times for a total of 25 days. I've had to bear the weight of running his business and have had only 3 days off since August 10th. Yes, that's right. I've only had 3 days out of the last 96 that I could actually do what I needed to do for Block Central. Others may have given up when faced with such adversity, but I've had amazing support from so many wonderful ladies on this forum who kept me going with their thoughtfulness, help, and prayers.
On second thought, I don't think I'll tell my Dad because that would be wrong and it would be rude. He deserves better considering what he has been through and is still going through.
To sum it up:
Life is not fair.
Sorry to vent, but your post just hit me the wrong way. I'm over it now and I'm smiling again.
Have a wonderful day and a Happy Thanksgiving!

I just want you to know that most everyone on the forum knows what you have gone through this summer, and I myself am simply AMAZED that you could find time do anything at all for Block Central with your hectic schedule! I love your site and visit more than once a day just to make sure I don't miss anything! Please don't get discouraged because we all appreciate everything you do, even if sometimes we neglect to thank you sometimes! This site is like visiting family!
Thank you for EVERYTHING you do! I am truly thankful to have you as a part of my "family"!

Kim, I'm sorry I did not know this was going on. Please accept my apology's. I know what it is like to have a parent so sick. My mom passed away December 6, 2007 at the age of 66. I'm glad you still have your's to still take care of. Apologizing Lizzie
Lizzie, I accept your apology and I hope you will accept mine as well. I am very lucky to have both parents at age 71 and although they are both facing some fierce medical problems, they are still here and for that I am so grateful.
I know it must be tough facing the first anniversary of your mom's passing. I will keep you in my prayers.

Kim, I am loving all that you do for Block Central, and I am anxiously waiting to see if you are going to do another BOM for 2009. I have my fabric for the last one, but with my schedule, I have not yet got it done. I will get busy on it soon though because it is going to look beautiful on my bed.... Hope your father is doing better, and your life is a bit less hectic now...
