I love this! ... In quilting, "There are never mistakes, only design opportunities" ... I'm printing this one out and hanging it in my Quilt Corner. |

I love your block and I think your 'design feature' is beautiful and what more it works. Love your colour choices too. Milica |

I think the block looks great like that, and the colors you have chosen are beautiful, I wouldn't change a thing. Thats my opinion

I'm sorry if this question is in the wrong place. I dont' have a quilt program EQ6 or Quilt Pro. I did try QP around 10 years ago at least (I think). Although I'm up to parr on computer it just baffled me. My question could I take this block or any block go in and see what it would like as all the blocks of a quilt? What intriuges me the way I did it would be the radianting square pattern which could evolve. marieg

Marieg, that is just the reason I purchased EQ5 then the upgrade to EQ6. I love the play with blocks to see what they will look like when in a whole quilt. The Eq6 is so great that you have a little tool that will even tilt the blocks for you. It's amazing the see what you create.
Get it if you don't have it. I found Eq6 easier to use that Eq5..you really can't go wrong. Betty "A friend is a second self." I do not have a computerized quilt program ...(alas, maybe someday)... and I have tried the following idea in the past a few of times for a sampler block which I have particularly liked and wondered how it would work up in a quilt: I have taken a photo of the block, loaded it on my computer, made several color copies (six will actually suffice to give you a good idea of how the points and colors will work together, cut them to size and then laid them out side by side(or with sashing strips)on possible border fabric(s) and studied it all for awhile. Hope this helps, |

Pat, that's a good idea! Also, Kim has a bunch of colouring pages here on BC - http://blockcentral.com/coloringbook.shtml
Here's a sample page http://blockcentral.com/fiftyfourforty.shtml see if there's a block you like, get your pencil crayons (aka coloured pencils) and have at it! A day hemmed in prayer seldom unravels. Keep looking UP! When it seems there is no way out, there is always a way up! |

Hello again,
I posted a while back about the cutting instructions being wrong for this quilt, and have never heard from anyone about it! Does anyone know why the instructions for the E fabric are wrong, and what can be done to fix it? Thanks, Jacquie( who is bummed about not being able to finish cutting this out!) Jacquie in OK |
