I am thinking about doing this BOM as a quilt as you go type, is anyone else doing this? The sashing looks as if it would a great help for QAYG, but I am not sure what type of quilting to use in the blocks. I know the stitch in the ditch would work but I'd like to do some free motion, or maybe (like I have the time lol) hand quilting. Would love to hear from others on thier ideas.

Of course this would mean I need to purchase fabric and batting now as opposed later on.

Thanks, Kira, for posting the EQ5 coloring block.

Your fabrics for this are soooo nice ... love the focus fabric and the green for the block borders!

Smile Pat

I have my January Block done!

and closer up for better fabric detail:

Sorry, again about the quality of these photos. I only have my cellphone (or my old 35mm) available at the moment and it really does not take very good pictures.

Okay, I'm ready for the February Block!

Yippee! Pat

I see the February block is up. Thank you, Kim!

Very pretty!

I have a question, though.

The border on this one shows the tan (Fabric C) in the picture, but the cutting instructions and the directions show the same green (Fabric D)as the first block.

Is this an error, an option or an intention change?

How would this affect those who are following the cutting chart for the whole BOM?

I, myself, am cutting month by month and have been known to make my own adjustments to please my personal quilting muse so I think I may like the idea of different border fabrics for different blocks,

I'm confused and not. I am cutting as I go and knew I would be using two different greens for the 3.5x12.5. What is throwing me is the little color pic for this month color C the 2 7/8 squares in pic are green and cut tan. I'm going with the green, it should be fine. Say, yes

SORRY for the confusion! I was very sleepy when I uploaded the pattern at 5:30 a.m. this morning and accidentally uploaded the wrong block picture. I've corrected it now. Smile

The cutting instructions and all of the graphics in the pattern were and still are correct...it was only the block image that was incorrect. Smile

Well here it is block #2, I have to say I struggled with this. Not the points but the fabrics, I think I have about 20 extra pieces. Sorry the picture is so dark but I just wanted it out of my sight for a while.
