I pre-wash for these swaps but when it is for my own use and I am making a Wall hanging for myself, I sometimes pre-wash but sometimes not. Depends on my color choice and my mood that day! LOL!

Rebecca -
I used all different color solids in my happy blocks...got them cut ....sewing them tonight. I used solids that were medium/light and went with my "Aunt Grace" pieces...pink, blue, lt green, cream, lavender. I'll post mine tomorrow or Monday.

Now Im just trying to think of a good setting for all those blocks! I'm hoping for beginners luck! Shamrock I thought I might like to set them on an angle... maybe use some red and white to pop them... HMMMM

Linda, Ok I will when I find it in all the patterns I ran off the last 2 days! Be happy to share it. In the mean time Look at this one I just found too! It would be so easy to use this with our Happies! Make some minor adjustments in size and it'd be beautiful. I love the teal blue and lime green in it!!! Goregous to me!!

Did anyone happen to see the Retro- Crossroads Quilt and pattern in the August Issue of American Patchwork and Quilting? It is gorgeous!!
The Front cover has another Beauty too. It is Peppermint patty and is done in Pinks and Browns!! Love the quilting motifs in the borders!!!
Wish I could quit work and stay home!! TOO MANY QUILTS TO WANNA DO!!!! I have enough of a stash to keep me busy for several years, then I'd be looking for another job. LOL Wink

I've got my fabric washed and ironed, ready to make HB's. I think I'm going to take it with me to the quilt retreat next week and work on them there. May even find some more fabric the day we go shop hopping. Can't hurt to look. Big Grin

May not be back on the computer until the 12th so you all have fun and I'll talk to you then.

Oknana do you know what year that book was published in. I might just have to order it, interesting quilt layouts. But simple enough.

I could use a retreat, jealous, hope you have a fun and relaxing time. 30's and vintage fabrics are my favorite, if I move away from them and try others, I always come. I think they reflect comfort to me.

Gald to see everyone is having fun with this theme and that it is getting everyone thinking about other quilts with this style of fabrics.

I know I am planning some sew time today for sure, even though I have a major headache, it might just help.
Happy Sunday
