Oh the suspense is killing me! I have still been looking for the outer fabric to go with my tea cup fabric. I did see some brown checks at Walmart that could work, but brown checks??? Yuck!

Jenell,

I was never 100% satisfied with my Aug HB's. I had the border fabric in my stash (thank goodness), but I had hoped for coffee mugs that were more bold (or at least larger). I did feel good about using my LQS for the purchase, but...normally...I like to be thrilled with what I'm going to send out.

I'm to the point where I sniff out the 50% off room of my LQS every trip and look at fabrics that COULD MAYBE work for HB borders.

Good luck!

OK Girls, I have made my request for a theme for the Happy Blocks, I am waiting for a final approval from my Mentor (hostess).
I am not sure how to do this, but I think I am supppose to post examples of the themed blocks, if that is the case, once I get approval I will make some blocks to show. (please keep in mind I am only a partimer on the forum, I work outside the home during the day, so my sew time during the week is very limited.
But I hope you find the theme I am hoping to go with, fun to do.
I will be in touch. I am glad everyone is excited, even though they don't know why, yet!

OKIE DOKIE LADIES! Mare has decided and it is terrific!!!!!

Here it is!

I would like to do the 30's fabric.

30's fabric being like Aunt Gracie's fabric line patterns. This fabric should be the outside strips.
The centers should be a coordinating solid color.

Didn't she do great???????? I love it!!!!

We head back home tomorrow and won't get in until late late so I won't be on the puter tomorrow at all, and will play catch up on Friday with everyone's names that want to sign up. Just keep posting and I will get ya on the list as soon as I can!! THink I am going to have to shop for some fabric before headin home, maybe in Joplin or somewhere on the road!!!! (Ain't that sad???) ROFL! Razz He he!

Kylie since you and Rebecca won in June, both of you will need to participate in July and August blocks and Both of you will be eligible to win again in September, which is this month's sign ups, so yeah you could win again!!!

Mare and Susie will need to participate in August and Sept's blocks and then once again be eligible to win in October.
Hope this helps eveyone to understand how us moderators set this up (starting with the June blocks).

It is so fun to win!!!! I saw a pic of a pattern that looked like 30's fabric and the sashing was all done in white, and these HB's done for Sept. will be the perfect pattern for it! Now, to just remember where I saw it!

Hi I need a little help with this theme. I am not sure what Aunt Gracie is. I will do a search for it. Sounds fun. Thanks Laura

Well I did a search and love the fabric. I have been making jelly all day and my brain is on hold. I thought it ment fabric with lines on it. I am going to bed.

I hope everyone likes the theme I picked out. Now that I know this is a go, I will do some sample blocks, but I am sure I won't get them posted till Friday night, with work and all.
Have fun putting fabrics together.
