Hello, BC Newbie here and I am thinking I may want to jump in on this one ...

I am going to visit a quilt shop on Sunday for their "Superbowl Sale" and see what I might find for fabics for this:

So 8 and 1/2 inch unfinished blocks ... animal prints and such ... no novelty fabrics ... prints can be centers or borders ...

anything else I need to know before I go quilt shopping?

Okay, I am back from my quilt shopping. I went a day earlier than planned and I am ready to play Happy Blocks. Here is my fabric:

The theme was one using fabrics I have never really worked with ... although I made a "zebra" fabric headboard and pillow for my DD to match her black/white bedding in her first dorm room ... now she has a blue quilt I made for her in her dorm ... but I found it was really FUN working with these colors and patterns. Thanks for choosing such an interesting theme, Oknana.

I checked out the other blocks everyone has made for this month to see what to do and they are all so pretty! I would not mind if I had a bit of "beginner's luck" this momth and got to make a quilt with them all.
