I *did* escape work on time and I *did* go to Joann's! (Time to lay off for a bit... maybe!) I got almost 4 yards of a lovely floral paisley that was on the clearance stack! Lots of good stuff back there, hence the 'maybe' above. Had to use the soon-to-expire coupon on something, so I bought a book on window treatments since I seriously need to make new curtains for every darn window in my house. Something simple and classic and easy to wash since the kitties duck under them all the time to watch whatever is happening in the yard. Since I have my cats cover most of the cat colors in and of themselves, there's no 'safe' color that will hide them all! Debi

My one cat covers the furniture and floors with his fur, I can imagine what more cats will do. LOL
Can't waste a coupon - need to buy SOMETHING. I wish the coupons were good on sale stuff. I tend to go in looking for something to use my coupon on and ALWAYS find stuff I just HAVE to get but it's usually onsale and the coupon is no good. LOL

My coupon dilemma exactly, Linda! I could use a new Rowenta iron too since mine fell off the board twice (long story in itself;-) and the chreapie I got from Wal-Mart naturally doesn't do as good a job. The coupons are never good for those either. Maybe I'll hold out and get another nice iron for Christmas from my mom. She sews also and appreciates the value of a good iron. She also gets good deals at the Navy Exchange. Debi

For anyone who has not yet decided on a bag for the Fall Bag swap, there's a neat idea on the Hancockfabrics.com website - a Picnic Tote. Would make a great Summer gift for someone, too. I may make one for ME!
The link seems to work from the Summer Swap link, but won't work from here for some reason. See if you can get that one to work, otherwise I can email you the PDF document. It also says it is available in the Hancock Fabrics stores.

As many of you already know, Jess and I have decided to open up a quilting business. Because of this I have had to drop out of this swap.
Jacqui, who was my co-host has graciously offered to step up and be the host of this swap. I am forwarding all the contact info to her today. I don't know if she has worked it out for someone to be her co-host but hopefully one of you sweet ladies will step up and take on that task.
Here are the partners as I have them. Please let me know if I have made any mistakes in this list.
Linda O. and Miica Cindy and Jacqui Midge and Trina Jody and Debra Debi and Betty
I can't wait to see some of the wonderful bags you ladies will no doubt be enjoying in a few months.
