if my printer ink says pigment-based ink for text that is water resistant does that mean i can print direct on to fabric and it wont wash off?

Before This label stuff gets too far, I want to make sure that everyone understands that ALL blocks need a label on the back. Pinned or a sticky. Then, each person can decide if they want labels on their blocks once the blocks are swapped. Some want them and some don't. Hopefully this will help to make this fair for all.

Thank you OKNANA,

I've sent a PM to you with all may details. Please let me know if it went awry and didn't get to you. I'm still finding my way and I fear I seem to get lost rather easily!

Melita, So sorry that it is in cyber space somewhere. I did not get the PM.

This is what I posted on BC on how to do a Pm. Try this and see if it will work for you. (I do hope I haven't left any step out) I tried really hard to be specific with each step.

Here's keeping my fingers crossed!

In the tool bar, at the top of the Posts, there are boxes that say: GO< NEW< FIND< NOTIFY< TOOLS< REPLY< Click on GO. Hover over personal zone and a long box will appear on the right that has : PROFILE< BUDDIES< IGNORE LIST< GROUPS< PERMISSIONS< PRIVATE MESSAGING, ETC. Go over and come down to the PRIVATWE MESSAGING and click it. At the top you will see a rectangle that says NEW PRIVATE MESSAGE, click it. It will bring up "my contacts on the left and invited members on the right. using your mouse select who you want to send a PM to, add, invite members. If the name you want is not in the "my contacts", click on find new buddies and type in name of person you want to send to, and the search will find them. Check the small box and select add selected members. From there after the new window pops up, type in your subject line then your message and click POST NOW and that's all there is to it~

Nola -

I LOVE those labels. I am going to use one of those and print out labels to pin to my blocks. Great idea!

Of course, for people who can't print on fabric, a plain handwritten label look very authentic, too.

OKNANA - When the sign-ups close on May 10 I will let you know how many jars I will be increasing my number to. I'd love to get one of everyones.

Simple ??? here are those labels to large to go on the jars or would you have to for sure put them on the back and then when you sandwich your quilt would they be lost or maybe have a collection on the back of the quilt lik all labels are. As for the fabric I use the fabric sheets that are used mostly for pics like the ones from JoAnns usually wait for the 40 off coupon and get the 3 sheets for like 4 bucks. Still costly though.

I only quilt on Day's that End in " Y "!

I have a question: Tone on Tone is a fabric that has texture to it but it looks solid from afar. Right? So if I find a beige that has vines/or whatever will that work as long as it is beige and looks solid when standing back from the fabric?Or am I making this too complicated? Coffee
