Trina that is correct. TOT only has one color in it usually. Like a cream background with cream vines in it.

I went shopping in my stash today and found the perfect fabric for my jars, pencils in all colors on a black background. I think it will make a great jar of goodies.

Smile Guess I should post that I have ALL my blocks made, ready to go! I did them on Tuesday, didn't stick my head out of the sewing room. I said I wouldn't make another JAR block when I finished, but yesterday stopped by JoAnn's after Mom's Drs appt, and GOT MORE FABRIC FOR JARS!!! I think they might be addictive!! But am going to try something different when I do these..surprise...lololo

Jean, that's great. I'm heading off to my sewing room right now to start on mine. About 8 or 9 years ago I took part in a "jar" swap with a group that no longer exists. We did both a block swap and a fabric swap. I need to go and dig them out of my cabinets and finish that quilt up. I'm excited about this swap.

Now to go and start sewing, the best part of the day. Yippee!

Welcome all our new addicted quilters, it is great to see sew many coming to the forum and enjoying being here, as you can see nanawing there are many jars being canned so you will find something out there that you like and then some, can't wait to get going on mine each time I change the fabric of what I want when reading through the post so eventually I am setting it in stone, at least that is the idea.

I only quilt on Day's that End in " Y "!

I decided to make a couple test blocks, because it is a different pattern than the quilts we made a few years ago. The first time I made them, I followed the directions and did not cut off the triangles from the squares added, and the lid did not fit correctly. That made me mad, so I picked it out and cut the triangles off. Then the lid fit on the top of the jar. A few posts ago a couple of people were struggling with the lid fitting correctly. If you are, you might try cutting off the triangles after you sew the squares on. Just a thought.
Have a great day!
Vicky

Wow, I haven't started mine yet. I have my MIL and my husbands aunt here. He working out of town, so I'm in charge.
Talk about a job. It's a good thing they've been the best MIL and AIL any one could want thru the years.
They are both now mostly deaf, won't admit it, so no hearing aids, have little yappy dogs that piddle everywhere and they argue about everything. The thing is they are both saying the same thing but can't hear enough to tell.
I'm praying for patience (and more paper towels)
Kat
