Hello again. Got back before we thought we were going to, so am trying to catch up on this swap and the June HB's. Great link Nola and Michelle. THanks to you both. I will have to defintely check these out. Appreciate your help.

Betty, I just wacked that lid to fit my jars and adjusted my seams like Nola said. LOL! If it don't fit, make it fit is my philosophy!

I am sure our jars will all be a little different on the lid, and it will be fine.

Dorene -

I sent my 17 blocks to you today, and kept the one of mine as you said to earlier. You should get them early next week.

Hello,

I have my blocks almost finished but I am not going to mail them out until after the sign-up date closes in case we have new people join the swap. I am going to try to make one for every swapper.

I do no have much trouble fitting the lids really ... but I use my own method for sewing on the strips on the outside. Rather than cut the background pieces to size, I just cut a 1 and 1/4 inch by WOF piece, cut it in half. I sew one strip on one side of the jar lid piece, figure the size needed by setting it across the jar top, pin on the other strip, sew the other side seam to the marked line. Then I sew the strip to the jar base and cut the strips down to size after it is pressed. I just keep using these strips until they are too short and then cut another WOF strip. This way it is also easy to square my blocks to size. Does this explanation make sense?

IF anyone else signs up, I will make and send additional block(s). It's hard to believe there is anyone who has missed this thread and hasn't signed up.

Oops! I just remembered! When you first mentioned this swap in the moderator forum Kim N said that if you did a jar swap to sign her up for tomatoes - that she already had the fabric. She hasn't said anything in this thread. Do you need to ask her? If so, I will send additional block(s) as needed after May 10.

Oknana, if it makes it easier for you, I'll wait to mail mine too. It's no problem - will just go ahead and get them ready, then mail after the sign-up deadline.
