I love the marbles I used to have a gallon jar full of them when I was little. I gave them to my brothers when they got old enought to play with them . I miss my marbles now I wish I had them back. Laura

I know what you mean. I used to have a tin filled with buttons when I was little. I remember going through them, trying to organize them. The buttons got lost somewhere between NC and Ohio when we moved. My grandmother gave them to me. I miss those buttons. I think about them. Like now.

These Jars Bring back lots of Memories. I Had a marble Jar growing up but my Dad had to use them with his sling shot to keep the Dogs and Cats out of our Hen house every now and then a marble show up in the yard where the hen house used to be. BUT on the flip sideI still have my Gallon jar of Antique buttons that a couple of friends that passed away left me all there OLD OLD buttons. I had a couple of buttons in that jar that were stamped with 1863 on them still get the jar out every now and then and go thru them...

Nanwing, I promise you the butterfly was not hard. Of course, I'm a fusible applique girl all the way and I satin stitch around the edges.. If you'll look in the BPS Album, we did a butterfly one month and it's the prettiest I ever seen!

Deb, I'm glad my Grandmother didn't know about the sling shot with marbles as ammunition to get rid of threats to her chicken house! Lots of marble would go missing out of my marble bag... didn't use a jar. MawMaw made me a drawstring bag to put mine in.
