Isn't it amazing that these canned goods made it from as far as Australia without unsealing or breaking?

Okay! guys here is what I have decided to do with my Jars. I am going to create Grannies Cupboard. I have gathered about 45 to 50 differant things other than what I got from you all, to put into jars. Everything From Goldfish to Postage stamps. BUT I never found any Greenbeans. SO in honor of the grandson (whom lovvves Greenbeans) I'm going to call it "What NO Greenbeans!) I'm thing of putting a Cartoon bubble to one side of the cupboard. Maybe with the back of a little boy looking in. I think that is what I have in my plans for my jars.

Debbie - what about putting a picture of your grandson in the bubble?

I think I've seen green beans at Hancocks at one time or another. There was an online shop with lots of veggies, too.

Yep, mine is going to be a cupboard, too - still looking for a few other jar ingredients. I have Christmas Cookie fabric, too.

Debbie, Grannies Cupboard sounds great. Maybe an empty space where the jar of green beans should be or an empty jar. Just thinking. Roll Eyes I'm thinking of using them as the border on curtains for either the kitchen or breakfast room when we get moved. Either that or a wallhanging for the breakfast room. I think I may make a few more jars to go with them but that will have to wait until later.

This was a fun swap. Barb Mcf Girl

Whoohooterville!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got my jar blocks!!!!!!! There was a card in the mailbox late last night when we picked up the mail, and I went to the post office this morning! They are GORGEOUS!!! Great job, ladies!! and Dorene, great job sorting!! Thank you for all your hard work. I do have to say, though, you spent WAAAAAY too much on postage, girlfriend!!! My jaw almost hit the floor of the truck! Just joking there, but I was shocked!! I'll be sending you something, a money order, maybe, to cover the excess.

I have the blocks up on my design wall, and am trying to decide how to set them/use them, and if I need to make some more, maybe different sizes. Is anyone doing that?

BUT - first I HAVE to quilt dgd#1's quilt - it's been waiting on me for almost (dare I say it??!!??) 3 years. Poor kid!! I will do it next week - the plan was for THIS week, but what with searching for a puppy, and tools/truck boxes and trenchers for DH's new business most of the week, I haven't touched my machine hardly at all (OK I know that's not proper English, but you know what I mean, right, jelly beans?? Big Grin) Quilting the layers together is my least fave part of quilting, but maybe once I get my Juki up and running and DOING the job, maybe I'll like it - I'd better, I have lots of tops waiting, and sure cannot afford to have them done for me! Besides, my feeling (and hubby's too) is that it's not all yours if someone else quilts it, but it sure is tempting!! and I know lots of ladies would rather piece, so please don't be offended by my comment there. I also have a small log cabin butterfly wall hanging to finish hand quilting some day. Methinks I need to stop joining swaps/BOMs for a while, but where's the fun in that?!? Big Grin OK, I'm done blathering on, now.

Thanks again, Dorene and everyone!!
