Dorene,
My focal fabric is a light green background with single red strawberries and cherries, and single white daisies. i need to double check and make sure I understand. The pattern says muslin, but we use any beige background. For the jar lid, do you want a certain color-or just a color that goes well with the jar?
I want to sign up for 12, but if we have more people than that-I would like to do one for each. Okay?
Thanks again...Vicky

OK - now we're in trouble. The apple fabric I picked has all colors of apples - red, yellow & green!!!! Is this still OK? If not I can look for something else. I can post a picture if you'd like - just let me know.

I don't see any problem with that, Nola. Sounds nice to me - I think I have seen that fabric. I need to go see what I can find for my jars. I've been thinking about a button jar - LOL! I saw that fabric last weekend when Jean was here. Npw I need to figure out where it was and go get it.

Linda, I saw some button fabric at Wal-Mart over the weekend. It was dark blue background with all kinds of buttons on it. In fact, I thought long and hard about getting that for my jars; also debated about some hot pepper fabric, but the apples looked so delicious I went with that piece.

Vicky,
Your focal fabric is fine, and yes the directions do say muslin but I wanted us all to use Beige instead. Beige that reads solid. I will put you down for 12 Vicky.
Your apples will be fine Nola.

I don't want this to get complicated on us picking the same fabric. Let't just have fun with filling our Jars and If there happens to be a duplicate, I will make sure no one gets a duplicate! How's that????

Pat, This isn't limited to just fruits and veggies. Linda is thinking of buttons. But if you still want to go to the LQS, you go girl!

Pat, I'd love a jar of candy!!! In fact, I thought I had some fabric with candy hearts on it, and I'm pretty sure somewhere around here is a piece with red/white Christmas mints! But, of course, I couldn't find them when I needed them!

But like Oknana says, if you feel you have to force yourself to go to the LQS, just go right ahead and go!!!

Okay so put me down for 10, I think that I will be doing 1/2 and 1/2 sweets and someting , have not gotten the fabric yet but it is on the todo list like tomorrow or so. The tablerunner that I want to do it will go on an island in my kitchen so anything will go, I like variety no matter where.

Well, then ...

This was my original fabric choices:

Chocolates ... because I do love chocolate.

What do you think? I have never done a block swap other than happy blocks before and I do appreciate your thoughts and ideas. I have learned so much on BC. Smile

I am still going to the LQS ... I know I saw some fruit and veggie fat quarters that I have almost bought a couple of times ...
and I will likely make more jars... Big Grin

My kitchen has vines and fruit on a beige backgound wallpaper. It looks cottage kitchen even though I live in the city. I am really thinking about adapting that tablecloth idea ... or making placemats.

I like vatiety, too ...

Buttons sound like fun, Linda!
