OKnana- Was going to leave a comment in the album about your charming block, but could not find a place to do so. It is quite sweet. Can't wait to see the others.

Dorene- I recieved an e-mail from Gerda today. They are in the process of moving and settling in. The dial-up they have at the present is not letting her move around the forum so she asked if I would let you know she wants to be part of this swap. She is in for 6 blocks.

Betty thanks for doing that for me! Ladybugs, sound cute! PAT, Chocolates! How cute of an idea! Then you could make a Valentine table topper of Jars of Chocolate, Oh the possibilities now for us all!!!! I have thought and thought on this subject and after much thinking I have made a decision. I hope I don't get SHOT for saying this but there is just too many cute ideas out there to not open this up to anything in a Jar!!!! We can Use Candy ones for Valentines and Halloween candy for Halloween, etc!!! Hope this is okay with everyone!!! I know, I know, at first I wanted NO NOVELTY but Some do like snakes, bugs, frogs, and dinosaurs, barbies, fairies in their jars and not so much of fruit, buttons, and veggies! Can ya imagine having Superman in a Jar! LOL!!!! This Swap is for everyone and so there ya have it!!! ANYTHING Goes !!!! I just checked with my mom, she plans on bringing her quilt tomorrow for a picture. Now if my printer thinghy will just communicate with my computer. I used a wood grain fabric for the cross bands to look like a shelf. To day I heard Jim Croce's "time in a bottle" now I have it in my head. What about Time in a jar. If I can find fabric with watches or clock faces.

Nola,
We made jar blocks for a Block of the Month I was in at Hancock's. We used all kinds of animals, plants, fruits, vegies. Anything goes! They were fun and really cute. We used puppies, so Cats would be cute also. We also used fish. I would even use Lizards for my quilt, just not this one. (But I really like bright and cheery fabrics.)
I controlled myself for this swap and got something other people would like. More conservative. LOL
