I hope I did this right. I made my blocks this afternoon. I had a fabric with turtles on it and I do have turtles in my small pond down by the barn. Each winner will get three of these blocks.

Barb, your block is absolutely beautiful. I think that is cool that you have turtles in your pond. We don't have any turtles around here. Just toads and tree frogs. I do have Koi and Goldfish in my small pond.

Very pretty block, Barb. Smile

I went through my stash and I do not have the right fabric for these blocks ... I looked over the weekend at the quilt show tables, too, without finding what I want ... so clearly I have no choice here Big Grin ... a trip to the LQS is in order Yippee! Yippee!

I just happen to be going to my LQS this weekend too. Just supposing I happen to see some fabric that will fit in here, and just supposing that I happen to accidently buy some, how many blocks would a fq make? And did I read somewhere that batiks would be okay?

If the batiks were reedy-looking or water-like, sure they would fit in for borders maybe?

And don't you just HATE it when you have to go to the LQS? And THEN, when you find some fabric that is just PURRFECT! DARN! Too bad. LOL!
