April,
There are some great tutorials on the web about paper piecing. They walk you through the complete process. It really isn't difficult at all. I can't search right now, but Gerda is right, Take a deep breath. We will help you along the way and you can do this one!!!!! It will be a good learning experience. Time to learn something new.

Gerda, Do you still need a co-hostess? I am ready, willing, and able, if you would like. These are probably really dumb questions, but I have to ask because I am having a major (dumb) blonde moment. There are two blocks shown; we would be using the Mary Ann Beattie block and not the Linda DePerro block, correct? Isn't the background color supposed to be green so it becomes part of the tree or the wreath? If there are enough people for more than one group, can we sign up in each group? I was looking at the design layouts for the two large trees. One takes 31 ornaments and one takes 42. They each make a top about 60". If a person added enough for the drop one could get a bed quilt for a double.

Please, Meg!! I wasn't sure who to ask! YOU ARE NOT DUMB, blond, yes, but "dumb blond" is a state of mind, not limited to blonds! Yes, we'll be using Mary Ann's block. the more groups, the better. However, if we don't get lots of people signing up, maybe we can make 2 for each person? Oh, good question!! Hmmm - you see, the pattern I saw in a mag, had the light background and they stood out against the green. May I think on it for a couple of hours?? Maybe a poll? And ladies, I REALLY need to run those errands, so I will be back later to make the list. I'm so glad you all want to join in!! Gerda

Glad to have you all on board, ladies! This will be neat!! Rebecca, we will do the 4" block (if anyone wants the 3", perhaps we can accomodate that by specifying - please post your wishes and we'll see). OK, we will do the green background, I guess - a medium to med-light, so the pattern doesn't get lost. Any other questions? I'm going to post these points on page 1, as well as your names. Woohoooo, we have a swap!! Gerda
