Dorene, I've PM'd you back ! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin I'd love for you to join us! Anyone else up for some relaxing handwork??? Please join us, too!
We're doing 4 1/2" finished blocks, so they are small and quick to do. Let Leanne or I know. She is the head of this swap, I'm just the co-hostess. Smile

Hi, Susie, this is Gerda, Leanne's co-host. Welcome! I for one, would love to have you join us - I will contact Leanne so she knows. You will need to send her your info - name, address, e-mail address, phone number by PM. You would make #5 in the group, so you would need to make 16 blocks - we are making 4 1/2" FINISHED blocks, 4 for each person. We are using solid white fabric, either Kona or a good quality muslin, nothing flimsy, and DMC 321 floss. On blocks this size, I personally use two threads for the main outlines, and one for details. Leanne and Bev prefer flowers, but I will let them tell you for sure. Dorene (OKNana) is good with flowers and such, and I am pretty much open to anything - flowers, bugs, whimsical, snowmen, whatever. There are redwork/bluework books out there, applique patterns and colouring books are good sources, and there are lots of free patterns online. You may very well need to reduce the size of some of them so they fit.

I hope this helps somewhat. Let Leanne know what you prefer, OK?? Then she will let us know. Thanks for your interest!

OK, ladies, I am working on block 6 of 16! I will need to either find the box my iron is in (???????????) or ask at the LQS or guild to borrow one to prep more fabric! do we know yet what lady #5 wants? And Susie, what about you? I am on hubby's computer, so I can't check my e-mails from Leanne for info ( duh, I could PM her, now couldn't I?? hee, hee, I'm so silly! Big Grin)

I am still trying to find places for things here, and with little storage space, a LOT will have to go - but never my fabrics and stuff! I still have a bunch of boxes and totes to go through, but try to stitch in the evenings. I will get 'em done, just might be a tad late. I am thoroughly enjoying this, though. Take good care, all!

Gerda
