Happy Blocks for October...

Ready for Signups! Let's have a great month with lots of swappers and lots of blocks!

Because October begins a fall of such beautiful colors here...I have chosen fall colors for the October Happpy Blocks. Oranges, Yellows, Dark Reds, Rusts, and Browns, etc... will make beautiful blocks.

Participants:
Cindy-------8
Linda O-----8
Oknana------8
Gerda-------6
Quiltbuddie-8
Hummingbird-8
Michelle----8
Mary T------6
Jody--------8
Ruby--------8
Wasie-------6
Jacqui------6
Jami--------6

(Anyone interested in this swap should let the hostess know how many blocks you want to make (limit 10) before the drawing date of the month. Names are generally drawn on the first Friday of the month and the number of blocks you choose to make will determine how many times you get your name in the pot for a chance to win half of the month's blocks. Each participant is responsible for sending half of her blocks to each of the two winners.)

(The happy block is made from a 4 1/2" unfinished center square which is then surrounded by another single fabric as a border. The border pieces measure 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" unfinished for the sides and 8 1/2" x 2 1/2" unfinished for the top and bottom borders. The unfinished block will measure 8 1/2" square.)

(You may use the themed fabric on the inner square fabric, or the border fabric, or both. Please try to use only one fabric for the center sqaure and only one fabric for the border so that the winner will be able to make a quilt with some design uniformity. You may choose to make all of your blocks identical or all different.)

(If you have any questions, please post on the thread or PM me directly.)

Vicky

Hi Vicky,

Sign me up for 6. I picked up some awesome fabric at a quilt store in Estes Park today!

I'll have to go to my mom's to sew them up, as my machine broke last weekend.

This one should be beautiful!
