Hazel and Brazil, huh? Wonderful! You too are certainly a pair of something, not sure what but something for sure!!!

Meg your poem was fabulous. I wonder how big of a label we will have to put on Ole Ugly to be able to include all this fun stuff being written about him. I think his memory will live in Infinity!!!

Connie-

Should I get some photocopiable (is that a word?) fabric and print it out? Would you prefer just a hard copy and print it yourself so the printing will match Doreen's The Ugly Quilt Anthem? Either way, I will need an address. Or you could just copy and paste it off the forum. Duh! Danger! Danger, Will Robinson! Woman having a blonde moment! Girl

I told my mother that I just had this feeling that Big Ugly was going to arrive yesterday and that I started writing it in the shower. Her response was that that was some long shower! Little snippets of it began coming to me, so after breakfast I got on the computer and it wrote itself. When I finished, there was the package from Gerda in the mailbox! Kinda funny/weird how it worked out. Maybe it was paraskevidekatriphobic? Big Grin Eek Big Grin

Big Ugly is stitched, pressed, folded, and ready to into the envelope with moments to spare. I think I will invite him to watch the Tigers game with me.

Two things I noticed about him. Alot of my fellow quilters apparently equate dark with ugly. I thought I would strike a blow for light and bright as they can be equally ugly.

All this traveling has sure worn him out, wht there's hardly anything more than skin and bones. I tried to put some meat on him and fatten him up a bit. Hope that is okay.

So Monday it gets mailed out to Dorene in O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A!

Gerda- I owe you a huge apology. In all my excitement about Big Ugly and the Tigers, I was totally remiss in thanking you for the beautiful fabric. It is was too nice to cut up. I was thinking of using it as a top for a throw pillow. I will have to hide it when my mother comes to visit. Those are just exactly her colors.

Oh, and if we are voting in this political season for the absolute ugliest block- I think Alf should win, hands down!

Oh, yeah, one more thing- it has been laying on my bed most of the day. It is so ugly the cats won't even walk on it, much less take a nap!

No apology necessary, my friend, glad you liked it! I actually liked the show Alf, but figured that fabric had to be in there. If the Blue Jays aren't in it, go Tigers!
