Meg, I think most of us had some fabric in our stashes that we just couldn't abide anymore, or that was pretty ugly. Though when it was here, I liked some of the fabrics. However on pondering your question, I think we will have to keep our eyes peeled next year for uglies - hey, we don't have to buy yardage - if your LQS sells charm squares (5-7" usually), buy those! I know my LQS has had some pretty unpretty ones in her bin!! Gerda Love isn't what you say, it's what you do.

I'm with you, Connie - got SOOO much ugly fabric I could do one of these a year for 5 years! And, yes, I'm impressed with how pretty Ole' Ugly came out!

Gerda, My problem was that I had cleaned out most of my ugly fabric- gave it to my mother to use to make drag around quilts for the cabin so people would leave her good wool blankets alone! i really scrambled to find some worthy of such a quilt! Hazel

Midge - about your printer (I know, WAAAAY off topic here! ) Here printers have come so far down in price, that it costs about the same as replacement cost of the two ink cartridges. eG. $75 for ink (Black and colour), and maybe 5-10 dollars more for a new printer. Is that an option for you?? Just a thought! Gerda
