I need to make a point...I watched a dvd today on quilting and she made a point to use all the same brand rulers cause each brand mesure different..I have but yeah something told me to go and line up all my same brand rulers and guess what all the mesures are not the same..so yeah everyones inch is different..and this is why my blocks end up too small or to big i used 2 different rulers lol

Kylie,
Not only is it important to use the same brand of ruler on a project, but compare the cheap rulers with the more expensive rulers. They are not all accurate, and as the saying goes, "You get what you Pay for..."

Kylie, these are very bright, bold and beautiful blocks! Confetti

Rebecca, it is nice to see you have joined this month's swap, too. Smile

Best of luck to both of you winning the blocks in June,

Dorene, I would like to join this swap, I have not done any Happy Block swaps in the past. I did make a few for Deb's quilt to send her, and I enjoyed them.
So, if I can join in this one, please give me the OK and I will pm you my information.
Thanks,
Marilynn

Dorene,
I have my 6 blocks sewn and ready to go. I didn't think I was going to like all of the different colros, but I think they turned out very pretty.
Thanks...Vicky

Mare, Vicky, Betty ...

So happy you joined the swap!

The colors are fun, aren't they, Vicky? Glad you liked making the blocks.

I think these will make such a nice bright colorful quilt.

Last year I made an oversized queen quilt for my son for his first apartment in bright batiks using the Yellow Brick Road pattern and I used narrow black sashing strips and a rainbow varigated thread. It was one of the most stunninng quilts I have made.

With the leftover blocks and fabric I made a large lap size that is our camp/picnic/car quilt ... so we have taken it a lot of places. I have had many people comment how much they like this quilt, particularly young adults.

Good luck!

I just sent a pm with my information.

Now to go see if I can de stash my stash some. It will be hard to part with my batiks, but I know they will look great in these blocks.
