I agree, Judy. I, too, will stay on BC, but will not be participating in any more swaps after the Spring Wallhanging Swap - not because of the rules and not because I'm mad at anyone. It's because of a family situation.

However, I do agree that I don't like people being upset. BC has always been a great place to come to. Many of the posts were funny, there was a lot of joking, but at the same time, everyone was helpful when someone asked for help. I hate discord and having so many upset.

As for the PMs about the Christmas swap - I was one of those invited, but was unable to participate because for some reason my email programs will accept PM's but will seldom allow me to send a PM. I did read all the posts, but couldn't reply to them.

Let's all get back to the fun stuff, and lay this to rest. I am happy to know we have rules to go by and that Kim is aware of us all wanting to move forward on this and all get along for the good.

Kim, I am curious though, how many miles are you walking each day? I need to do that too! My doctor told me if I wanted to start walking to just get out and walk for 5 minutes and then turn around and come back home. Next day, Go walk 6 minutes and next day do 7. You will have increased 2 minutes each day coming and going. Hope that makes sense. He said to do that until I reach 30 minutes and I should feel the difference. ( I haven't managed the 5 minutes yet!) I am giving the reason it is cold as my excuse! LOL! I walk and hurry all day long at work, but he says that doesn't count. Shucks.
Maybe we could all encourage each other that need to walk/
Kim, I admire your dedication to staying with it!
Hugs,

Dorene, walk the days you are at Wal-mart. Use your break time...that's what I did. Our store is a Super-Store and believe me it was large enough! Just the number of times from the back to the check-out and to the back again was a good deal of walking. Let's see that would make 4 times back to front a work day sometimes more!

Ladies I took the day off from the forum yest. to watch my beloved NFL playoffs. I'm glad I was not in on this post from the beginning. I certainly had no intention of excluding anyone from that, I just wanted to fix a problem that I felt needed fixing and that was one of our swappers not receiving a gift, and not because it was lost in the mail.

As far as the rules go, I was just trying to help and hopefully in the long run that will be the outcome of that post. I didn't feel that I had to get permission from Kim to post the rules because as far as I have known we have been a self-governing group. So I just took the time to write up what I felt was a group of rules that we could all live with. Again trying to make things right on the forum.

I am proud of us all for stating our views and I feel that everything is settled now. Kim will have the phone numbers of any of us that don't feel comfortable sharing our numbers and that takes care of it for me.

I, too love this forum and would never do anything to make anyone upset. I have personally started several swaps, challenges, and sew-a-longs. I have not in the past asked Kim about any of them but I will in the future.

Connie

I have made a committment to lose 1 pound, that's just ONE measly little pound, a week this year! So far I'm still on track! Think I'll get out my pedometer and see how many miles I really do walk in a day. Betty, the idea of walking in Wal-Mart is great! Ours is a Super Store too and it sure seems like a long way from the front to the back!

As soon as it gets warm enough and quits raining I'll be walking the new path at our new hospital - I believe it's 3/4 mile long, and hubby and I are thinking of joining the fitness center at the hospital as well - his work place will pay part of the cost. My overall health is great - if I could just lose this excess poundage!!! If I can keep up the 1 pound a week loss, by the end of this year I'll be down to what I weighed after our daughter was born - 145## I feel great at that weight, so that's my goal for the year!

Now - that doesn't have a durn-burn thing to do with quilting, does it?????

Betty - There will be package in the mail for you just as soon as I find a box to put some things in for you!!

Oh Connie - you have found a soul mate, I quilted with one eye and watched my two favorite teams yesterday. One won and one lost. I absolutely love football. My son played college football at IU and I could hardly wait from week to week for the games. My poor husband likes football ok but he often tells people he is a football widower! It doesn't really matter who plays - I just love football. However, yesterday I was glad that the Colts won! Smile

I'm another football lover! We watched yesterday and we're watching today. I'll be glued to the tube pretty soon when the Eagles/Giants game starts.

I'm a walker too. I just love how invigorated it makes me feel afterwards.

I am outta here as well. David Akers, the kicker for the Eagles, has been a friend of my son's for years so we don't want to miss this game. Go Eagles!
