Midge, please don't think I've forgotten you! Just been really hectic around here, but now that the "monster quilt" is gone, I'll be starting on your gift this week. Have to get the binding on a baby quilt and also on the flannel blanket Esther made for Seth for Father's Day - then I'll have time to work on yours. It's all planned out - just need a few hours to cut it out and get it assembled!

Mona is there going to be an album to post pics of our gifts. When I take mine I'll try to send it thru Photobucket but don't know if that will work. If it doesn't I'll have to send it to someone to resize it for posting because I just can't get it small enough to post on an album.
So who can I get to do this? Gerda, friend will you be able to do it? If so you can do mine when you receive it. So I can let you know if Ive been able to post it but I'll have to wait until after you have received it.

Hi ya'all - or should I say GLUB GLUB GLUB! We are having sooo much rain, 16 straight days - have set a new record.. I looked out earlier and animals were going two by two thru my yard.. Smile

Things have really been wild around my house - Hancock Fabrics closed where I was working, then my son comes home for a 22 day visit from Kuwait,(leaves 7/11), and my DD is about to have her baby girl, sooo - between all that and sewing, I have been busy. I do always read what others are doing tho.

Oknana, how ya comin' on my SS gift? Roll Eyes I have your's almost done, sure is pretty.... Yippee! Everything else is ready to go, so I think I might just have all ready to mail before July 31!!!.. Everyone take care, talk later....

Jean,
That Ark you are seeing with those animals on it passes by my house too everyday! With both of us being Okies, and you all that aren't aware that Oklahoma and Texas are literally getting flooded with rain! Our lakes and rivers are out of room for anymore rain and it just keeps raining and raining. Farmers have lost thousands of dollars in their wheat crops this year and one house that is not even a mile from me was half full of water. The man and woman are 80 and 82 and lost everything! Their freezer holding several pounds of frozen meat was floating in their home. Their front yard had a 3 ft fence out front and when the Fire Department rescused them, they couldn't even see the fence anymore. Our local parks bridge is completely immersed, We are hearing of rescue stories nightly on the news of water rescues. No one in Oklahoma has flood insurance either. Our house sets up high enough we are okay, but for some in our little town have lost everything they own. It is really sad. The local rail road tracks were washed away in town too! A local farm and garden store was literally floated across the road. They said water was over 5 feet for him. His big farm equipment on his lot was floating across the highway! I certainly have not seen anything of this magnitude in my lifetime in Oklahoma.
Jean, I am still working on your gift. I saw another cute cute idea just today and can't decide if I will have time to do one for you or not, but I sure am wanting to!
Found the fabric though and I loved it so much, I of course had to have it too!
Heard your last days at Hancocks were CRAZY~!!! You got to see just how crazy us women can be at out out of business prices Huh? LOL!!!!
Take care everyone, stay safe,
Can't wait to see pics of everyone's goodies!
