What are happy blocks? How does it work?

Hi Dorian, glad that you have joined in with us fun quilters, this month the theme comes from Betty who might come along and answer any more ?? that you might have however the Happy Blocks are cut center 4 1/2 and then you add borders at 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 for the sides and the top and bottom are 8 1/2 x 2 1/2 all unfinished. There are several post on this same thread on page 2 of the main page that says July Happy blocks that gives more details and also there is an album that says Happy blocks so that you can get a idea of what I am speaking of hope this is not too confusing and hope that Betty does not mind that I have started to answer your ??. The themes are chosen by the winners of the blocks and we make up to 10 (1-10), and post how many we are making and after the deadline when the winners are posted we send half the blocks to each winner, there are 2. Post anything that is confusing to you and we will jump in to answer.

Ok, I think I got it. We all make however many blocks of the same color theme, the same way and all the people's names who made them go into a pot. Two winners are picked and they get to divy up the loot?? Then those winners pick the next months theme colors?

Sounds like fun. I'll mull it over and maybe join in Octs. How long do you have to make the blocks?
